Imsouane: the ancestral

It contains 4 spots: the Cathedral, a right that runs along the rocks, the Reef, a left with tubes, the Slab for the brave, and the Grand Bay which is the longest right in Morocco, and even one of the longest in the world. Best at low tide and at mid-tide, it offers a straight line where you can make wrinkles of 2 minutes. A paradise for longboarders, it is located one hour from Aloha Surf Camp, a journey to the roots of Moroccan surfing.

Tamri: the Rescuer

A beachbreak vulnerable to swells, take well the days of moderate conditions, a strong current and waves well aligned at high tide and shorebreak generally at low tide. Beware of currents, here you must be ready for physical sessions.
The setting is beautiful and the road to get there is a total immersion in the roots, only 40 minutes north of Aloha surf camp Morocco.

Bollers

Boilers: It’s boiling hot!

The legend goes that a large ship ran aground and the current brought a boiler from that ship back to the beach. Also known for its sea urchins, this spot receives the swell very well. Offshore wind, sideshore by north wind, very good right on rock slabs. Pretty good at low tide at mid-tide. The setting and taking out of the water is not easy, especially for surfers who are not used to rocks, shoes are recommended. Accessible to surfers of intermediary level.
Parking with panoramic view on the spot. Plan 5 dirhams for the guard, 30 minutes north of Taghazout.

Dracula: scary as his name suggests!

Impressive site, incredible right, certainly the most powerful of all. Reserved for very good surfers, there are sometimes huge swells. Difficult launch, very random take-out, 30 minutes north of Aloha Surf Camp.

Killer-point

Killer point

Killer whales can sometimes be seen in the summer, which is where the spot takes it’s name. A long right on slabs that works at any size, and which is composed of 3 sections:

  • the first, the most offshore, is a large bowl
  • the intermediate, much longer than the first, is made up of a lot of fast sections
  • the inside, long and hollow, is more regular and small.

When the swell is big enough (1.50m), these sections can meet and the wave allows a surf of 300m. From this size, the current and power of the wave become formidable and require a very technical surf. The spot is located 15 minutes north of Aloha Surf Camp Morocco, 5 minutes north of Taghazout.

Very nice spot of rocky slabs, in front of a small cliff, in a beautiful place. A good one meter swell is necessary, an alternative to the Pointe and Killer to surf quietly. The spot works from 1m, and closen out from 3m. Long right composed of hollow sections, the quality and difficulty of this spot depends on the level of sand that covers the rocks. Entry and exit of the water complicated at high tide. Accessible to intermediate to advanced surfers. 5 minutes north of Taghazout.

Mystery: It’s up to you to discover its secret

Random line, following the silting, which starts on a vein of rocks. Offers a tubular section on the first section, be careful not to go straight. Anchor point: the iconic one.

The left can be very nice, surfable at high tide. The right, a mythical wave from southern Morocco, unfolds for a long time on the slab. It requires a consistent swell or high tidal coefficients. The quality of the wave depends on the silting. Launching and exiting can sometimes be difficult, so you should take a good look before you throw yourself into the water.
